Divulgada a premiação da vigésima quinta edição do Living Blues Awards, revista especializada no estilo fundada em Chicago em 1970.

Como sempre, são duas frentes de votação, uma pela crítica especializada e outra aberta aos leitores da revista.
Em destaque, Taj Mahal, liderando a preferência em ambas as frentes não só como artista mas também como disco do ano, além de ter liderado a preferência em duas outras grandes votações em meios de grande expressão - Downbeat e Blues Music Awards. Na votação dos leitores, a unanimidade pelo nome de Buddy Guy.
