BLUES MUSIC AWARDS 2012

A premiação do Blues Music Awards é reconhecida como a mais alta honra dada ao artista de Blues na América. É uma realização da Blues Foundation, uma organização sem fins lucrativos criada para promover o Blues e que chega em sua edição 33 cuja celebração será em 10 de maio no Cook Convention Center em Memphis, Tennessee.

Já foram divulgadas as nomeações para a premiação da edição de 2012 e o processo de eleição reune pessoas interessadas pelo Blues que incluem programadores de rádio, fotógrafos, ouvintes que participaram de shows e festivais e outros que se entreteram com as novidades durante o ano.
Os nomeados são escolhidos pelos membros da Blues Foundation e é premissa que todos estejam envolvidos diretamente com o Blues, muitos são dos EUA mas há nomeações de artistas do Canadá, Europa e America Central.
São 26 categorias e os artistas podem ser indicados para mais de uma e a votação segue até março.
